TEACHING & RESEARCH

In 2017 I completed my PhD in Visual Cultures at Goldsmiths, University of London. ‘Picturing Politics: Drawing Out the Histories of Collective Political Action in Contemporary Art’ considers the appropriation of images of political upheaval in contemporary art, with a particular focus on contemporary drawing. I explore the relationship between drawing and documentary practices used by artists in different contexts, and and the forms of knowledge—and political consciousness—such practices shape.
